Dry Ingredients
  • Small check mark in a circle icon 1½ cups​ Gold Medal™ Whole Wheat Flour
  • Small check mark in a circle icon 1 cup Bisquick™
  • Small check mark in a circle icon 1½ tsp​ Cinnamon, ground
  • Small check mark in a circle icon ½ tsp Nutmeg, ground or additional cinnamon
Wet Ingredients
  • Small check mark in a circle icon 15 oz can​ Pears, canned in juice
  • Small check mark in a circle icon 2 Eggs, fresh
  • Small check mark in a circle icon 2 Tbsp​ Vegetable Oil
Optional
  • Small check mark in a circle icon ½ cup Cranberries, dried

Preparation

  1. Heat oven to 350° F. Place paper baking cups in each of 12 regular-size muffin cups.
  2. In a large bowl, stir flour, Bisquick™ and spices and mix with a spoon. 
  3. Remove ½ cup of pears from the can and cut into small dice. Puree remaining pears and juice then transfer puree to a small bowl. Add eggs, sugar and vegetable oil to puree and whisk until well blended. Stir in diced pears. Add Cranberries if desired.
  4. Pour pear mixture into flour mixture, stir until just moistened. Divide batter evenly between muffin cups.
  5. Bake 22 to 27 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool 5 minutes and remove from muffin pan.
